Why NEET 2027 Needs a Different Preparation Approach

The biggest shift for NEET 2027 is the move to a CBT-based exam. Because there will be 10 to 15 shifts, and students don't yet have practice with this format, the difficulty spread between shifts can be extreme.

Some shifts could feature very tough Physics, long and difficult Chemistry, and lengthy Biology — the kind of paper where 650 marks is needed for AIR-1. Other shifts could turn out as easy as NEET 2024. Since there's no way to know which shift a student will get, the only safe strategy is to prepare for every level, from basic to the toughest possible paper.

This uncertainty is also the reason a full syllabus reset, not a patch-up of weak chapters, is being recommended for this cycle.

Before laying out the plan, it helps to see what a real comeback looks like. eSaral's NEET 2026 result is described as the platform's best in four years — and only its fourth year running a NEET program.

One student improved from an AIR of roughly 42,000 to a final AIR of 39, with the highest selection ratio among students in that band.

Several other rank improvements were cited from students who started their prep around the same time of year as a typical drop-year student:

The 9-Month NEET 2027 Roadmap

The full NEET syllabus is planned to be completed by January, taught from the basics but pitched at the toughest difficulty level. From there, students go through four full revisions, completed by the end of April — meaning the exam is attempted only after four rounds of revision.

Two sets of teachers are involved in this roadmap:

• Live, two-way interactive classes — taught by senior faculty, including teachers who have taught AIR-1 rankers (some subjects twice or three times over multiple years, across a range spanning AIR-1 through AIR-57 and beyond). Doubts are addressed instantly during class, with student video on and teacher audio active throughout.
• Recorded lectures for the full syllabus, released from day one, using animation and visualisation for difficult topics. Physics is taught by Saransh Gupta Sir (AIR-41), who has been teaching for 13 years and has guided thousands of students into medical colleges. Chemistry is taught with the specific target of a 180/180 score, aiming for deep understanding over rote memorisation. Biology is taught in depth, going word-by-word through NCERT concepts rather than surface-level coverage.

The target for this cycle is stated plainly: 700+ marks, aimed at a rank that supports admission to AIIMS Delhi.

Five-Layer Personalised Mentorship

Alongside classes, students are given two dedicated mentors with direct phone numbers, available six days a week. These mentors handle problems that classroom teaching alone doesn't solve:

• Struggling to balance all three subjects
• Low motivation or loss of study rhythm
• Marks stuck at the same level across tests
• Poor time-table adherence or time management
• Backlogs building up across chapters

Beyond phone support, students go through regular homework and notes checks. For example, faculty actively check homework for top-ranking students in the Hindi-medium batch. The reasoning is straightforward: consistent homework checking is what keeps all three subjects — Physics, Chemistry, and Biology — progressing evenly, rather than letting one subject fall behind.

250 CBT Tests and 300 Practice Questions for the New Pattern

Because NEET 2027 will be CBT-based, practice with the format itself matters as much as content mastery. The plan includes 250 tests, of which around 90–95 are chapter-wise CBT tests given right after each chapter is completed.

As the exam approaches, full 3-hour tests increase in frequency — starting roughly every 21 days, then tightening to every 15 days, 7 days, 3 days, 2 days, and finally two tests in a single day close to the exam. These run as an All India Test Series, so students compete against peers nationwide, not just their own batch.

Practice questions are layered by difficulty, matching what's needed for a possible 650-mark AIR-1 shift:

• CPP — basic-level questions
• Exercise 1 — NEET 2024-level difficulty
• Exercise 2 — NEET 2025/2026-level difficulty
• Special 27 material — a level above NEET 2025
• Rank Booster & SPP — tougher than NEET 2025, designed to match the kind of questions expected in a high-difficulty shift

Selected previous year JEE Main and JEE Advanced questions are also assigned as homework, since NEET and JEE now share the CBT format. After every test, students receive a 20-page test analysis report — the same level of analysis previously given to top-ranking students — breaking down exactly which sub-topics are weak and how much time was spent on correct, incorrect, and skipped questions.

How Doubt Solving Works

For students studying from home, doubt resolution is handled through five channels:

• In-class discussion — roughly 95% of homework questions are discussed directly during the live, interactive class.
• Text and video solutions provided alongside every homework set.
• A doubt-solving tool — students can send a photo of a question and chat it out.
• Live doubt-solving sessions — for example, an evening session for students on a morning batch, where teachers are available in real time.
• Direct teacher connection, if a doubt remains unresolved after the above steps.

Short notes are also provided across all four revision cycles to support faster recall closer to the exam.
