Solution:
$x^{2}+2 \sqrt{3} x-24$
$=x^{2}+4 \sqrt{3} x-2 \sqrt{3} x-24$
$=x(x+4 \sqrt{3})-2 \sqrt{3}(x+4 \sqrt{3})$
$=(x+4 \sqrt{3})(x-2 \sqrt{3})$
