Volume of the cistern $=11.2 \times 6 \times 5.8=389.76 \mathrm{~m}^{3}=389.76 \times 1000=389760$ litres

Area of the iron sheet required to make this cistern $=$ Total surface area of the cistern

$=2(11.2 \times 6+11.2 \times 5.8+6 \times 5.8)=2(67.2+64.96+34.8)=333.92 \mathrm{~cm}^{2}$
