Solution:

The given points are A(−6, 7) and B(−1, −5). So

$A B=\sqrt{(-6+1)^{2}+(7+5)^{2}}$

$=\sqrt{(-5)^{2}+(12)^{2}}$

$=\sqrt{25+144}$

$=\sqrt{169}$

$=13$

Thus, 2AB = 26.
Hence, the correct answer is option (b).
