Solution:

$\Rightarrow 2 x^{2}=-1$
$\Rightarrow^{x^{2}}=-\frac{1}{2}$
$\Rightarrow x=\pm \sqrt{-\frac{1}{2}}$
$\Rightarrow x=\pm \sqrt{\frac{1}{2}} i$
$\Rightarrow x=\pm \frac{i}{\sqrt{2}}$
Ans: $x=\pm \frac{i}{\sqrt{2}}$
