Tick (✓) the correct answer

Question:

Tick (✓) the correct answer

If $3 m=5 m-\frac{8}{5}$, then $m=?$

(a) $\frac{2}{5}$

(b) $\frac{3}{5}$

(c) $\frac{4}{5}$

(d) $\frac{1}{5}$

Solution:

(c) $\frac{4}{5}$

$3 m=5 m-\frac{8}{5}$

$\Rightarrow 3 m=\frac{25 m-8}{5}$

$\Rightarrow 15 m=25 m-8$

$\Rightarrow 15 m-25 m=-8$

$\Rightarrow-10 m=-8$

$\Rightarrow m=\frac{-8}{-10}=\frac{4}{5}$
