What Details Are Mentioned on the JEE Advanced 2026 Scorecard? 

Your JEE Advanced 2026 scorecard is an official document. Keep it safe — you will need it for JoSAA counselling, college admission, and document verification.

The scorecard includes the following information:

• JEE Advanced Registration Number
• Roll Number
• Candidate's Full Name
• Date of Birth
• Category (General / OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PwD / GEN-EWS)
• Qualifying Status — whether you have met the minimum qualifying marks
• All India Rank (AIR) in the Common Rank List (CRL)
• Category-wise AIR (if applicable)
• Subject-wise Marks — Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics from Paper 1 and Paper 2 separately
• Total Positive Marks across both papers
• Overall Total Marks (aggregate of all three subjects)

One important detail: the scorecard will not show negative marks separately. It displays your net total in each subject.

How Is JEE Advanced 2026 Result Calculated?

Mark Aggregation Method

IIT Roorkee follows a straightforward subject-wise addition process:

1. Physics marks = Physics score in Paper 1 + Physics score in Paper 2

3. Mathematics marks = Mathematics score in Paper 1 + Mathematics score in Paper 2
4. Aggregate total = Physics total + Chemistry total + Mathematics total

What Is the Difference Between the Qualifying Cut Off and the Admission Cut Off?

This is a commonly misunderstood point. The qualifying cut-off determines whether you appear in the rank list. The admission cut-off is the closing rank for each IIT branch, released by JoSAA separately after counselling rounds. How Multiple Rank Lists Are Prepared

JEE Advanced releases separate rank lists for different categories: CRL (General), OBC-NCL, GEN-EWS, SC, ST, and PwD variants. Every qualified candidate gets a CRL rank. Category-specific ranks are published additionally.

Tie-Breaking Process (Step-by-Step)

When two or more candidates score identical aggregate marks, the following rules apply in order:

1. Step 1: The candidate with more positive marks (before negative marking deductions) gets the higher rank
2. Step 2: If still tied, the candidate with higher Mathematics marks gets the higher rank
3. Step 3: If still tied, the candidate with higher Physics marks gets the higher rank
4. Step 4: If the tie is still unresolved, both candidates receive the same rank

If You Have Qualified

Qualifying JEE Advanced 2026 means you are eligible for JoSAA counselling — the gateway to IITs, ISM Dhanbad, and other participating institutions.

1. Download and print your scorecard from jeeadv.ac.in
2. Register on the JoSAA portal (josaa.nic.in) — registration opens approximately June 3, 2026
