JEE Mains & AdvancedJEE Advanced is a national-level entrance exam through which candidates can get admission to UG programs (undergraduate) Engineering, Science, and Architecture courses in 23 IITs. JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria (Based on 2024)
The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced are released every year by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on their official website. This eligibility criterion has all the conditions and guidelines for the students. Mentioned below are the JEE Advanced eligibility criteria-

Students who score amongst the top ranker from 1 to 250000 ranks in JEE Mains are eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced exam.

Students must have a minimum score of 75 percent marks in their class 12th board exams. For reserved categories like OBC/SC/ST, the minimum score is 65 percent in 12th board.

Aspirants are only eligible to give the JEE advanced examination twice in consecutive years. This rule holds irrespective of whether the student fails or passes the exam.

Candidates with foreign citizenship, OCIs (Overseas Citizens of India), PIOs (Persons of Indian Origin) and Indian citizens can sit for the JEE Advanced 2024 exam. However, there are certain rules set by the NTA for foreign candidates.

Criterion 2: JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2024 - Age Limit
For JEE Advanced 2024, the students should have been born on or after October 1, 1998. Although SC, ST, and PwD candidates will get a relaxation of 5 years (born on or after October 1, 1993).
Criterion 3: JEE Advanced 2023 Eligibility Criteria- Number of Attempts
The maximum number of attempts that the students can attempt JEE Advanced 2024 is two times in two consecutive years.
Criterion 4: JEE Advanced 2024 Eligibility Criteria- Appearance in 12th (or equivalent) Examination
All students who are appearing for JEE Advanced 2024 should have qualified the 10+2th examination in 2023 or 2024 for the first time. Also, if the result is declared for that academic year 2021-22 on or after October 25, 2022, then the Students of that board who appeared for their 12th standard qualifying exam in 2022 will also be termed eligible for JEE Advanced 2024 if they also meet the other eligibility criteria. Although, if the examination board of class 12th declared the results for the academic year 2021-2022 before October 25, 2022, but the result of a particular student was withheld, then the student will not be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2024 according to the JEE Advanced eligibility criteria 2024.
The mentioned below is qualifying examinations will be considered as equivalent to 12th standard:

Annual examination of 12th systems, conducted by a Central or State Board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

10+2 Pre-University examination conducted by a Board or University recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.

Annual examination of the two year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.

Senior Secondary School Examination should be conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.

Any Public School, University or Board examination in India or in a foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities AIU.
JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2024 - Marks Required in Class 12th Standard/ Qualifying Exam
For admissions into IITs, the candidates will be required to meet the following eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced 2024:

Candidates must have passed the 12th standard (or equivalent) examination with minimum 75% percent marks and for SC/ST categories students must score 65%

The students should be within the top 20 category percentile of the qualifying examination.

While calculating total marks, the student should take into account scores of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Language, and any one other subject.

JoSAA Counseling Eligibility Criteria
JoSAA 2024 eligibility criteria is set by MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development). Students who are allowed in JEE Mains 2024 or JEE Advanced 2024 examinations are eligible for the JoSAA counseling 2023. JoSAA Eligibility Criteria 2023 for JEE Advanced (Preparatory Courses at IITs)

Candidates should be eligible to take the JEE Advanced 2024 exam.

JOSAA 2024 Qualifying Marks

The candidate should score a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Class 12th or any equivalent course.

JOSAA Eligibility Criteria 2023 for B.Arch/B.Planning

Applicants applying for the Architecture course must qualify for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) to be eligible for registering under JoSAA eligibility criteria 2024.

The student should have at least 50% aggregate marks to be eligible for JoSAA in Class 12th with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects following either Chemistry, Biology, Language or a technical vocational subjects as optional.
JOSAA Eligibility Criteria 2023 for B.E /B.Tech

Scored a rank in JEE Main 2024 Paper 1 for B.E/B.Tech Program at NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and Other-GFTIs.

Students must have passed the Class XII (or equivalent) exam with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry,Biology, or Technical Vocational as required subjects.
