The National Test Agency has shared important information on its website for students appearing in the IIT JEE Main 2024 exams. They have mentioned the expected dates for various events, such as releasing admit cards and starting the registration process. The IIT JEE Main exam will be held in two sessions.

For session 1, the registration process will start in March 2024 and end in April 2024. And for session 2, the registration process will begin in June 2024 and close by the end of June 2024. The tentative dates for opening the correction window are also given.

Regarding the admit card, it is expected to be available in June 2024 for session 1 and July 2024 for session 2. To download the JEE Main 2024 admit card, students need to visit the NTA website and log in using their application number, password, and date of birth. After downloading, they should keep a printed copy for future reference. It's important to check all the details on the admit card carefully. If any mistakes are found, students should inform the authorities before the exams start, so the issues can be corrected in time.

JEE Main 2024 Admit Card Release Date

The tentative dates for conducting JEE Main 2024 exams are, session 1 is expected to be scheduled from 23rd June to 29th June 2024 and session 2 is expected to schedule from 25th July to 30th July 2024. JEE Main 2024 Admit Card - Important Points to be Considered

  • Admit cards for JEE Main 2024 will be released singly for each session.
  • No hard copy of admit card will be sent by the authority. Admit cards should be downloaded and the student himself shall take printouts of the same.
  • Students who have not filled out the application correctly or made mistakes while applying are not eligible for the issue of admit card.
  • Entry at the exam center will be allowed to those who carry admit cards with them

How To Download JEE Main 2024 Admit Card? Steps To Be Followed.

  1. Visit the official site of the National Testing Authority (NTA),, and select “download the admit card link”.
  2. Now enter the credentials like, the application number, date of birth, and security pin (password).
  3. When the entered credentials are correct, the admit card for the respective session will appear on the screen.
  4. Now students should download the admit card and take the printout for future reference.
  5. Duly filled-in admit cards and self-declaration shall be downloaded by students from the NTA website.

Documents Required at the Examination Centre

  • Proper printouts of JEE Main 2024 admit card.
  • For pasting on the attendance sheet passport-size photographs of students are required.
  • Id proof of students like an Aadhar card, PAN card, Driving license, etc., are to be carried along with the admit card.

Forgotten Password- To Retrieve the Application Number or Password.

A.  Firstly visit the link and select “I can’t Access my account”. Choose from the given option-I forgot my application number

    B.  When the response is submitted students will encounter the below-mentioned option:-
  • Security Code- This question is chosen by the student at the time of registration for the exam.
  • Verification code: This is sent to the registered mobile number of the student.
  • Reset link: This is sent to the registered email id of the student.
    C.  After one of the above options is selected more details are required to be filled in for recovering the application number. Below mentioned is the list of details required:-

Changes in JEE Main Exam Pattern

  • In place of paper 1 and paper 2, there will be separate papers for B.E/B.Tech., B.Arch, B.Plan.
  • B.E./B.Tech paper- 90 Questions, B.Arch paper - 82 questions, and B.Planning paper- 105 questions.
  • There will be two types of questions 1) numerical questions and 2) MCQs.

Age Limit

There is no specific age limit announced by the authorities. Candidates who have passed the class 12/equivalent examination in 2021, 2022, or appearing in 2024 can apply for JEE Main 2024.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have cleared the 10+2 examination from a recognized Central/State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, etc.

Senior Secondary Examination Subjects (B.E./B.Tech)

Candidates should have studied Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subjects, and any other subject in their senior secondary examination.

Senior Secondary Examination Subjects (B.Arch/B.Planning)

Candidates should have studied Language, Physics, Mathematics (mandatory), Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subjects, and any other subject in their senior secondary examination.

National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)

Candidates who have qualified for the senior secondary examination conducted by NIOS with at least 5 subjects including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible for JEE Main 2023. Candidates who have studied less than 5 subjects in their qualifying exam are not eligible.

Equivalent Examination Outside India

Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or have not cleared the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination from any recognized Central/State Board of India need to provide a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) stating that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination.
