JEE Mains & AdvancedThe JEE Main 2024 exams will take place in two sessions in 2024. The National Test Agency (NTA) has already released provisional dates for various important events related to the exams. This includes the release of the application form, starting the registration process, exam dates, and result declaration guidelines. Students are eager to know these dates so they can plan their preparation and make necessary adjustments to their schedules. JEE Main is a highly competitive exam, and every aspiring engineering student dreams of doing well and getting admission to prestigious institutions like IITs, IIITs, and NITs. These institutes are supported by both the Central Government and State Government. They have highly experienced professors and also focus on the overall development of students, not just academics.
JEE Main 2024 Application Form
- Application form to be filled out online. There are no offline resources to fill out the application form. The process will start unanimously for session 1 and session 2- April & May 2024 accordingly.
- The application form should be accompanied by a passport-size photograph, and the signature, It should be the same as presented at the time of the exam. Both things should be scanned and attached to the application form.
- Application form for session 1 which is to be held in April 2024 will be released and the registration process will start from 1st week of March 2024, and Application form for session-2 will be released and the registration process will begin from the 1st week of April 2024.
- The whole process of registration includes filling out the application form, uploading images, payment of application fees, and printing the application.
- Students should carry an Aadhar card with them as their id proof.
- Students can make online payments of application fees through debit cards, credit cards, and net banking. Admission will be provided solely to those who have filled out the application form.
JEE Main Application Fee 2024
- The application fee will be nonrefundable
- Application fees can be paid online through Debit, Credit cards, or Net banking, also students can pay through the e-challan of Syndicate/Canara/ICICI bank.
- Fees paid through DD, money order or IPO, or any other mode, other than those prescribed above are unacceptable.

JEE Main Application Correction Window
Students can modify or correct the details filled in in the application form during the correction period given by the respective authority. Students can modify a few details in the application. The application cannot be modified after the last date. Correction or modification can be done only through a portal through an online process through login details on the website. Students have to pay a nominal amount of fees for modification or correction. Fees will be paid online through debit/credit card or net banking,e-challan.

Sections, Subjects included, and Marking pattern of JEE Mains
JEE Main Exam Pattern 2023 - Paper 1
Exam Mode: The JEE Main 2023 exam will be conducted in a computer-based test mode, which means you will take the test on a computer.
Exam Duration: The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours. However, for persons with benchmark disabilities, the exam duration will be 4 hours.
Subjects: The exam will cover three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Total Number of Questions: There will be a total of 90 questions in the exam, but you need to answer only 75 questions. Each subject will have 20 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and 10 numerical questions, out of which you need to answer 5 numerical questions.
Type of Questions: The exam will have two types of questions. The first type is objective questions, where you will have 4 options to choose from, and only one option will be correct. The second type is numerical questions, where you need to calculate the answer and enter it.
Marking Scheme: For the MCQs, you will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer, and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. For the numerical questions, the marking scheme is the same as MCQs.
Maximum Marks: The maximum marks for the JEE Main 2023 exam will be 300.
Medium of Paper: The exam can be taken in various languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
JEE Main Exam Pattern 2023 - Paper 2
Mode of Examination: The JEE Main 2023 exam will be conducted in a computer-based format, except for the Drawing section in the B.Arch paper, which will be done offline.
Language of Examination: The exam will be available in English and Hindi for all center cities.
Duration of Examination: The total duration of the exam is 3 hours.
Number of Sections: Both B.Arch and B.Plan papers have three sections.
B.Arch:

B.Plan:

Type of Questions: In the B.Arch paper, the Mathematics section has multiple-choice questions and questions with numerical value answers. The Aptitude section has multiple-choice questions, and the Drawing section tests your drawing aptitude. In the B.Plan paper, the Mathematics and Aptitude sections have multiple-choice questions, while the Planning section also consists of multiple-choice questions.
Number of Questions: The B.Arch paper has a total of 82 questions, while the B.Plan paper has 105 questions.
Total Marks: The maximum mark for both papers is 400.
Marking Scheme: For multiple-choice questions, you will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer, and there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer. For questions with numerical value answers, the marking scheme remains the same. In the Drawing Test of the B.Arch paper, two questions will be evaluated out of 100 marks.
