Chapter 6 — जैव प्रक्रम (Life Processes)

This chapter covers the essential life functions that all living organisms carry out: nutrition, respiration, transportation, and excretion. Key topics include photosynthesis, aerobic and anaerobic respiration, the human circulatory system, and excretion in humans and plants. This is typically the longest and most detailed Biology chapter in Class 10.

Chapter 7 — नियंत्रण एवं समन्वय (Control and Coordination)

This chapter explains how the nervous system and hormonal system control body functions in animals and plants. Topics include the structure of a neuron, reflex action, the human brain, and plant hormones (auxin, gibberellin, cytokinin, abscisic acid). Questions on hormones and reflex arcs appear very frequently in board exams.

Chapter 8 — जीव जनन कैसे करते हैं (How do Organisms Reproduce?)

This chapter covers asexual reproduction (fission, budding, spore formation, vegetative propagation) and sexual reproduction in both plants and humans. The human reproductive system — male and female — is explained in detail, along with menstruation, fertilisation, and contraception. Board exams regularly ask diagram-based questions from this chapter.

Chapter 9 — आनुवंशिकता एवं जैव विकास (Heredity and Evolution)

This chapter introduces Mendel's laws of inheritance, dominant and recessive traits, sex determination, and the theory of evolution including Darwin's natural selection and Lamarck's theory. It also covers the origin of life. For NEET aspirants, this chapter is a direct foundation for Class 12 Genetics.

Chapter 15 — हमारा पर्यावरण (Our Environment)

This chapter covers ecosystems, food chains and food webs, trophic levels, biodegradable and non-biodegradable substances, and environmental issues like ozone depletion. Board exams frequently test definitions and 1-mark factual questions from this chapter.

Chapter 16 — प्राकृतिक संसाधनों का संपोषित प्रबंधन (Management of Natural Resources)

This chapter covers conservation of forests and wildlife, water resources, coal and petroleum management, and sustainable development. It is a relatively short chapter and can be completed quickly. Frequently appears as 1–2 mark questions in board exams.
