Age Requirement: Candidates must have reached the age of 17 by December 31, 2025. For NEET UG 2025, Candidate should be born on or before December 31, 2007.

Maximum Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for the examination. Candidates of any age can attempt the examination.

  • There is no upper age limit for NEET UG examination for any category of candidates. 

  • Earlier there was an upper age limit of 25 years in NEET UG examination, which was removed in 2018 as per the decision of the Supreme Court of India.

How much percentage is required in 12th for NEET?

To be eligibility neet 2025, candidates have to have a minimum passing percentage in their 12th grade. The NEET organising authority has set the minimum aggregate score for Physics, Chemistry and Biology as 50 % for unreserved category, 40 % for OBC/ SC/ ST category, and for PwD category.

Details of Qualifying Examination Codes for NTA NEET 2025

If you are sitting for your class 10+2 examination and waiting for your board’s result, you have to select this code. However, you have to have cleared your Class 12 exam by the given date by which you will be eligible for admission.

Code 02

Candidates studying for the Higher/senior secondary examination (HSE) or ICSE (Class 12) and who have completed 12 years of studies should select code 02. According to NCERT, the last 2 years of this course of study must cover science subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Biotechnology pawith English as the core subject.

Students who have passed the pre-degree science exam from an Indian university/board including Physics, chemistry, Biology, English, and practical tests in these three science subjects.

What are the Qualifying Marks for NEET 2025?

NEET qualifying marks refers to the minimum score minimum score that a candidate must achieve in the NEET exam to be eligible for admission to medical and dental courses in various government, private and public private medical colleges of india.

NEET Eligibility Criteria 2025 – Number of Attempts

In 2018, changes were made in the NEET UG eligibility rules to remove the upper limit for NEET attempts. As a result, there are no upper limits for NEET attempts in 2025. According to NEET eligibility rules, NEET candidates who fulfill the NEET criteria will be able to sit for NEET multiple times.

  • There has been rules set by State Governments, Institutions and the government of india for the NRIs, OCIs and foreign nationals who want to seek admission in Medical/Dental colleges.

  • Certificate from the Indian diplomatic mission in their residence country need to be provided by NRI/OCI candidates.

  • Proof of nationality such as passport pages or a certificate from country’s competent authority need to be uploaded by foreign applicants with their NEET 2025 application.
