Why this matters for NEET Registration 2027: NEET UG 2026 was held on pen-and-paper mode on 3 May 2026, cancelled after a paper leak, and re-conducted on 21 June 2026. NTA is now restructuring, and the exam is moving to CBT. That makes the 2027 schedule harder to predict than usual, so do not rely on "same as last year" assumptions.

Beware of fake notices. NTA has issued a public notice about fake, altered or AI-generated NEET documents. Apply only through neet.nta.nic.in. NTA does not accept applications or documents by post, WhatsApp, email or hand.

NTA has not confirmed any NEET UG 2027 date. The table below shows the full sequence of events with the status of each.

For reference only (not 2027): In the NEET UG 2026 cycle, applications ran from 8 February to 8 March 2026 (the deadline was later extended by NTA), the correction window was 10–12 March 2026, and the exam was scheduled for 3 May 2026. That cycle was then disrupted by the paper leak and a re-exam on 21 June 2026. Treat these as background, not as NEET 2027 dates.

When Will NEET Registration 2027 Start?

NTA has not announced the NEET 2027 registration start date. It is expected that the application form will open around February 2027. This is an estimate. Expected / Tentative – Awaiting official NTA confirmation.

A few things could move the timeline:

• CBT transition. NEET UG is changing from OMR-based paper mode to computer-based testing. NTA has reportedly asked AICTE to identify government institutions with suitable IT infrastructure to serve as test centres. A larger operational change can shift announcement timing.
• NTA restructuring. Media reports say a detailed notification may follow after NTA's restructuring is complete.
• Multi-session testing. The expert committee behind the CBT recommendation also suggested multi-session testing. If adopted, the bulletin will carry a different schedule format.

NEET Registration 2027 Last Date

The NEET registration 2027 last date is to be announced by NTA. The NEET application form last date and the fee payment deadline will be printed in the NEET UG 2027 information bulletin and on the public notice that opens the application window.

In the 2026 cycle, the application window ran for about four weeks. If the 2027 window is similar, students will have roughly a month.

Can NTA Extend the NEET Registration Last Date?

NTA has extended the application deadline in past cycles, including NEET UG 2026, by official public notice. But an extension is never promised in advance. Treat the original deadline as final and apply early. If an extension is announced, it will appear on neet.nta.nic.in and on this page.

NEET Application Form 2027

Where to apply: neet.nta.nic.in (NTA's main site is nta.ac.in). The application link will go live when the registration window opens.

How to Fill NEET Application Form 2027

The steps below follow the NEET UG 2026 process. NTA may change screens or rules in the 2027 bulletin, so re-check this section once the form is released.

Step 1 – Visit the Official NEET Website

Go to neet.nta.nic.in and click the NEET (UG) 2027 registration / application link once it is live. Read the information bulletin and the replica of the application form first.

Step 2 – Complete New Registration

Enter your basic details and verify your mobile number and email with OTPs. Use your own or your parent/guardian's number and email only, because NTA sends all communication there. Create a password and security question. The system generates an application number; note it down.

In 2026, the password had to be 8–13 characters with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number and one special character.

Step 3 – Fill Personal Details

Log in with your application number and password. Fill in name, parents' names, date of birth, gender, category, nationality, address, identity details (Aadhaar is the simplest option), question paper medium and exam city choices. In 2026, students chose three exam cities in their state of permanent or present address. Medium cannot be changed later.

Step 4 – Enter Academic Details

Fill in your Class 10 and Class 12 (or equivalent) details. Class 12 appearing students select the qualifying code for "appearing"; those who have already passed select the code that matches their qualification.

Step 5 – Upload Required Documents

Capture the live photograph when asked, then upload your photograph, signature, thumb and finger impressions, and any other documents in the prescribed format and size. Details are in the next section.

Step 6 – Pay the Application Fee

Pay online by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. In 2026, you also entered an OTP sent to your registered email before submitting the fee. Payment gateway charges and GST are extra. Check the fee table later on this page.

Step 7 – Download Confirmation Page

After a successful payment, the confirmation page is generated. This page is your proof of submission. Download it, save it, and print a few copies. If it is not generated, your application is not complete.

Documents Required for NEET Registration 2027

NTA has not published the 2027 list. The table below is based on the NEET UG 2026 bulletin and is the best guide to prepare in advance.

Photograph, Signature and Document Upload Requirements

• Use your own latest photo. In 2026, the photo had to be taken after a cut-off date set by NTA. Do not upload a photo of someone else; that is treated as unfair means.
• Polaroid and computer-generated photos were not accepted, and edited or hand-made images can lead to rejection.
• Keep 6–8 passport-size photos and 4–6 postcard-size (4" x 6") colour photos ready, since NTA advised using the same photo for the exam, counselling and admission.
• Photo, signature and thumb impression cannot be corrected later, so upload the right file the first time.
• Aadhaar tip: NTA advised students to make sure their Aadhaar name, date of birth, gender, photo and address are correct and updated through UIDAI before applying. A mismatch can trigger extra verification.
• If your live photo does not match the Aadhaar photo, or you use another ID, you may have to upload an attested identity certificate (signed by a school principal or a Class-I gazetted officer).

NEET Registration Fees 2027

NEET UG 2027 application fee: To Be Announced. NTA will publish the fee in the information bulletin. Do not trust any fee figure presented as "confirmed" before that.

For planning only, here is the NEET UG 2026 fee (not the 2027 fee):

Payment gateway charges and GST are added on top. The fee is paid online by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. As per the 2026 bulletin, the fee is not refunded and is not carried forward to a later exam.

NEET Eligibility Criteria 2027

The 2027 eligibility rules will be confirmed in the NEET UG 2027 bulletin, based on NMC and other regulatory norms. The points below reflect the NEET UG 2026 bulletin.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 17 years on or before 31 December of the admission year. For NEET 2026, that meant being born on or before 31 December 2009. If the same rule applies to NEET 2027, students born on or before 31 December 2010 would meet it. This is a calculation from the 2026 rule, not an NTA announcement for 2027.
• Upper age limit: None in the 2026 bulletin.

Qualification

Class 12 or an equivalent qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English. NMC norms referenced for MBBS/BDS ask for a minimum aggregate in PCB: 50% for General, 40% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL and 45% for General-PwBD. Confirm the exact criteria in the 2027 bulletin.

Students appearing in Class 12 in 2027 can apply. Their admission depends on passing the qualifying exam by the time of the first counselling round.

Subjects Required

Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, along with English. The 2026 bulletin also allowed students who studied these subjects as additional subjects after Class 12 to appear, provided they can show proof of passing.

Nationality

Indian nationals, NRIs, OCI cardholders, and foreign nationals were eligible to appear in NEET UG 2026. NRI/OCI candidates upload an embassy certificate, and foreign nationals upload citizenship proof.

NEET Correction Window 2027

The NEET correction window 2027 dates are To Be Announced. In 2026, NTA opened a short correction window (10–12 March 2026) after the registration deadline. Only candidates who had completed the form and paid the fee could use it.

What Details Can Be Corrected?

NTA notifies the editable fields in its correction notice, and they vary by cycle. The 2026 bulletin said contact details, personal details, address, identity details, exam cities, qualification details, and similar fields are treated as final after payment, except those fields NTA explicitly permits during the window.

Some items were not correctable at all:

• Photograph, signature, and thumb impressions
• Question paper medium
• Any field NTA does not list in the correction notice

How to Edit NEET Application Form

1. Wait for NTA's correction notice on neet.nta.nic.in.
2. Log in with your application number and password.
3. Open the correction link and edit only the permitted fields.
4. Submit and download the updated confirmation page.

If NTA charges any difference in fee for a change, the notice will say so. After the window closes, NTA does not entertain change requests.

NEET City Intimation Slip 2027

The city intimation slip tells you which exam city you have been allotted. NTA calls it "Advance Intimation of Examination City." It is released before the admit card so that students can plan travel and stay.

NEET 2027 city slip date is To Be Announced. In the 2026 cycle, NTA released city intimation roughly one to three weeks before the exam date. That is a reference, not a 2027 date.

NEET Admit Card 2027

The NEET admit card 2027 will be released on neet.nta.nic.in. The date is To Be Announced. It is issued provisionally, subject to your eligibility, and you cannot sit the exam without it.

What to Do in Case of Error

Contact the NTA helpdesk through neet.nta.nic.in immediately. Note that NTA's 2026 rules said requests to change the exam medium, centre, date or time on the admit card would not be considered.

NEET Exam Date 2027

The NEET 2027 exam date is To Be Announced by NTA. Expected / Tentative – Awaiting official NTA confirmation: the exam is likely to be held around May 2027, based on earlier cycles, but this is not official.

Two changes could affect the NEET examination date and test date:

• CBT mode. NEET UG 2027 is slated to be computer-based.
• Possible multi-day exam. Media reports say the exam may run over several days across many centres. This is unconfirmed. If NTA adopts it, students may get different dates and shifts, with scores normalised across sessions.
