CBSE Class 12 Biology Question Paper 2020 Exam Pattern 

(i) The Question paper had five sections - A, B, C, D and E. 

(ii) There are 27 questions in the question paper and all questions are compulsory. 

(iii) Section A question number 1 to 5 are multiple choice question carrying one mark each. 

(iv) Section B question number 6 to 12 are short answer types - I questions carrying two marks for each question.

(v) Section C question number from 13 to 21 are short answer questions type-II. carrying three marks each. 

(vi) Section D consist question number 22 to 24 are short answer questions type-III, carrying three marks each.

(vii) Section E question number 25 to 27 are long answer questions, carrying five marks for each question. 

(viii) Answer should be in brief and to the point also the above word limit be adhered to as far as possible. 

(ix) There is no choice in the question paper..

The Class 12 Biology Board Exam Paper is divided into five sections:

  • Section A had 10 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and four one-mark Assertion-Reasoning type questions. 

  • Section B was in  3 source-based/case-based/passage-based/integrated assessment questions: 2 questions worth 5 points each and 1 question worth 4 points with subparts at 1/2/3 points each.

  • Section C had six short answers (SA) questions for two points each.

  • Section D was five long answer-I (LA-I) questions worth three points each.

  • Section E had three questions of the Long Answer-II (LA-II) type, each worth five points.
