Hydrogen generally forms covalent

 Hydrogen generally forms covalent compounds. Give reason.

Solution:

Hydrogen can lose or gain an electron to attain noble gas configuration as it has only one electron in its outermost shell. The ionization enthalpy of hydrogen is high and

their electron gain enthalpy is slightly negative. So they generally form covalent compounds.
