$\sin ^{-1}\left(\frac{-1}{2}\right)=-\sin ^{-1}\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)$ [Formula: $\sin ^{-1}(-x)=\sin ^{-1}(x)$ ]
$=-\frac{\pi}{6}$
