JEE Advanced Cutoff Marks

The JEE Advanced cutoff marks are important details that each candidate must be acquainted with. It is nothing but minimum marks that a student should score to pass the examination. In order to take part in the counseling, the JEE advanced candidates should achieve a score that is equal to, or more than the cutoff marks of the JEE Advanced. The exam conducting body usually releases the cutoff marks on the official website of the exam, which is disclosed after the declaration of the results.

It is noted that the cutoff marks basically depend upon the difficulty level of the JEE Advanced examination. If the paper is somewhat easy, the cutoff marks would be high. And if the paper is tough, the cutoff marks would be low. However, in the past few years, due to  increased competition among the candidates, the cutoff marks of the JEE advanced is also increasing.

● The JEE advanced cutoff is prepared by the individual colleges (IITs) at the time of counseling, and there is a separate cutoff for each course in the form of the opening and the closing ranks.
● The JEE advanced cutoff also varies category wise, for example, the cutoff for general category students would be different from those in the OBC category.
