Question:
Factorize each of the following expression:
9(a − b)2 − 100(x − y)2
Solution:
$9(a-b)^{2}-100(x-y)^{2}$
$=[3(a-b)]^{2}-[10(x-y)]^{2}$
$=[3(a-b)-10(x-y)][3(a-b)+10(x-y)]$
$=(3 a-3 b-10 x+10 y)(3 a-3 b+10 x-10 y)$
