Solution:

Given $\frac{3 \pi}{4}

$\sqrt{\operatorname{cosec}^{2} x+2 \cot x}$

$=\sqrt{2 \cot x+\cot ^{2} x+1}$

$=\sqrt{(\cot x+1)^{2}}$

$=|\cot x+1|$

Since $\frac{3 \pi}{4}

i. e $\sqrt{\operatorname{cosec}^{2} x+2 \cot x}=-\cot x-1$
