This session IIT Kanpur will administer the JEE Advanced 2025 examination, which has two sessions. The first session of JEE will be JEE Main, which probably takes place in January and April, while JEE Advanced may extend until June or July. JEE Adv will be conducted in a computer-based mode. Candidates who are preparing for the JEE 2025 exam should be aware of the important dates which are mentioned below. The JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be divided into two papers, each exam has subjects such as physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
10+2 passed or appearing candidates and the candidates who will qualify JEE Main 2025 cutoff for the Advanced exam will be eligible to register for the exam. You who will have appeared in the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2023 or before, will NOT be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2025, irrespective of the combination of subjects attempted/offered. Also, an aspirant can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years. Thus a candidate who will take JEE Advanced 2024 on May 26, can also appear for JEE Advanced 2025, but they have to appear for JEE Main again in this year.

JEE Advanced 2025 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

In the JEE Advanced 2025 exam, you will have to appear for two papers which are Paper 1 and Paper 2, each having a duration of 3 hours and both papers are mandatory.

Each question paper will have three sections: one Physics second Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Negative marking is applicable for some questions, and the JEE Advanced marking scheme details will be provided in the "Instructions to Candidates" section during the examination. It is important to read and follow the instructions carefully.

The question papers will be available in both Hindi and English, and you can switch between your preferred languages anytime during the exam. However, in case of any discrepancy, the English version will be considered final.

The total duration of each paper is three hours which is 180 minutes, except for PwD candidates with compensatory time who have fou4 hours which is 240 minutes.

How to Prepare for JEE Advanced 2025?

To prepare for JEE Advanced 2025, it is highly recommended to create a schedule and stick to it. If you are in the 11th class, try to study for at least 8 hours per day and make sure to study daily without any gaps. Remember that 11 lakhs students are preparing for the same exam, so consistency is only key.

You must distribute your time equally among all three subjects, as scoring good marks in all of them is necessary for a good rank.

NCERT: The Class 12 physics NCERT textbook is an excellent additional resource. It is necessary to go through the engaging chapter from Class 11. If at all feasible, it is recommended that you read the full Class 11 NCERT.

IE IRODOV: For mechanics, IE IRODOV is a great book for advanced preparation. It might be difficult at first, but with repetition, you can grasp the feel of it.
